Elconservatorio.es, selected in the first call of Factoría Cultural/Vivero de Industrias Creativas – Región de Murcia
Factoría Cultural It is a nursery and business accelerator specializing in Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC). It helps to undertake, innovate and be sustainable in sectors such as design, tourism, the music industry, the performing arts and education. It also offers specific ICC entrepreneurship training programs, mentoring, personalized advice, professional conferences and courses open to the public.
Born in Madrid (Nave 1, Matadero) and officially opens its doors in Murcia (Centro Párraga) May 2, 2017.
On April 24, 2017, the jury met for the evaluation and selection of projects for the first call for scholarships for the creative and cultural industries that received a total of 76 applications at the Párraga Center in Murcia.
23 were the selected proposals, within very different fields: animation, performing arts, visual arts, communication, design, editorial, gastronomy, fashion, music, production and videogames. Between them, ¡elconservatorio.es!
In short: from May 2, 2017 until January 31, 2018, elconservatorio.es enjoys a work space in residence (in the Párraga Center) and develops the project thanks to an innovation plan, training itinerary , networking, talks, legal and labor advice, forum of experts, collaborators, etc.
For those of us who have been living in artistic disciplines, focused on looking for an image, a sound, mastering the technical part that corresponds to us and creating and launching ideas, this residence is … simply indispensable.
It forces you to step on land. Creativity, branding, marketing, digital strategy, brands and patents, financing, offer, legal forms, business models, design thinking, internationalization and programs, business plan, budgets, etc. they become tools that we simply would not have paid attention to otherwise.
Yes, surely we have all heard of all this. But another thing is to put it into practice.
Because elconservatorio.es as an idea is already several years old. But Factoría Cultural Región de Murcia is being the guided framework in which we have defined ourselves, we have structured the lines and we have shaped them, we have made them known … and along the way we have met a fantastic nucleus of graphic designers, designers of fashion or furniture, artists, anthropologists, musicians, managers, inventors, plastic artists, etc. that enrich us while trying to get their artistic projects forward, to make them viable.
The best: that many of them are already colleagues and colleagues of the future, artistic collaborations to come.
And while here we are, launching a sound heritage and gastronomy project with all the conviction that it will be sustainable, that arts and creativity have much to say in today’s world, and that there are a thousand and one ways of innovate: stories and fantasy are not sold out.
